S is for Shapes

We are studying 2 dimensional shapes. This week we learned that some shapes are round and some shapes have sides and corners. A square is a special rectangle that has 4 equal sides. A rectangle has the same opposite sides and both the square and the rectangle have 4 corners.

We also read The Shape of Things and made pictures out of shapes. The kids loved showing off their creations!
