We have started our study of Continents. Our first is Europe. This week we learned about France. I --wowed- the class with Google Earth. We saw The Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, The Lourve, and Versailles. We read France ABCs A Book About the People and Places of France and viewed many power points about France on Pete's Power Point Station. We listened and learned how to count to 10 in French and we learned to say Bonjour!
We also learned about the famous tragic artist Vincent Van Gogh. We read two books about his life and his art. Many of my kindys recognized The Starry Night. We tried our hand at painting and copied the painting Sunflowers.
