E is for England

This week we continued our study of Europe and learned about England. Here are just some of the things we read and did. Keep an eye out for our Christmas Cracker post coming soon!

The sights of London were displayed in Core Knowledge corner. Students can point, read, arrange, and find the landmarks in books.

We read a few books about England and learned that while both the US and England speak English.. some words have different meanings! Everyone had been calling French fries chips this week. We also looked a photos and money from England.

We read this story about the London Bridge and sang London Bridge is Falling Down with these new lyrics.

We colored the flag, Double Decker bus, The Tower of London, and a Guard.
We also toured England on google Earth and had a great time- no passport required!
